STEAK HOUSE is an installation reflecting on my time in the world of old school Chicago fine dining. My performative intervention with the installation is a musing on the class distinctions of such an environment and the labor each of us does to get by. The extravagance of my delicately hand crafted pepper mill encapsulates my appreciation and struggles with the absurdity and allure of a scene of Italian suits, Cuban cigars, and repulsive amaros which unsteadily walks the line of gaudiness and class.
