The Funeral (of a tarnished adolescence) is a narrative work made during the time around when I turned twenty years old. This piece is a visual representation of the mourning of the partially lost or tainted innocence of my teen years due to several instances of sexual predation. Simultaneously, it is a celebration of my passage into adulthood, shedding that unique vulnerability and naiveté of being a young girl.
